Walks You
Actually Love.
A step-by-step framework that teaches your dog to choose connection, attention, and cooperation, even around real-world distractions.
A course that teaches you and your dog to walk harmoniously.
Everything in Harmonious Walks is built around three simple goals: building connection, navigating distractions, and creating walks you genuinely enjoy together.
Teach your dog that paying attention to you is rewarding and worthwhile, even when the world is full of distractions.
2. Navigate the Real World
Learn how to move through squirrels, dogs, joggers, and unexpected surprises without losing your dog's focus and your confidence.
3. Enjoy Life Together
Create calmer, more connected walks that give you the freedom to explore, adventure, and enjoy more of life with your dog.
SOUND FAMILIAR?
Walks shouldn't feel like this.
Your arm is tired before you hit the corner.
The pulling starts the second the leash clips on. You've tried stopping, changing direction, using treats. Nothing seems to stick for longer than a few steps before you're back to being dragged down the street.
Every squirrel, dog, or jogger becomes a crisis.
The moment a distraction appears, you're invisible. Your dog checks out completely and the walk turns into a battle for attention you feel like you're always losing. You've started taking the same quiet route just to avoid triggers.
You've tried the tips. They don't last.
You've watched the videos, read the posts, maybe even tried a harness or two. Things work for a session, sometimes two. But nothing builds the consistent connection that actually changes how walks feel long-term.
You're starting to dread going outside.
What should be one of the best parts of having a dog has quietly become a source of stress. You love your dog. You just wish this one thing felt different.

8+ Years Experience Helping Families with Dogs
Hi, I'm Tanya.
I've been working with dog families in Denver for over eight years. In that time, I've worked with hundreds of dogs and their people, and I can tell you that the challenges showing up on walks are almost always the same.
Not because something is wrong with the dog.
Because nobody ever taught them what we actually wanted.
When I adopted my own dog, Zippo, I experienced that frustration firsthand. Every walk felt like a battle. The pulling, the distractions, the constant feeling that we just weren't connecting.
That experience became a big part of why I built this course.
Harmonious Walks is based on the same framework I use with my private training clients. Each skill builds on the last, creating real-world habits that stick well beyond a single training session.
My hope is that walks stop feeling like something you dread and start feeling like one of the best parts of life with your dog.
WHAT’S INSIDE HARMONIOUS WALKS
A framework that actually builds on itself.
Each skill teaches your dog something specific and prepares them for the next. By the end, everything connects.
-
Teaching your dog that checking in with you voluntarily is the most valuable thing they can do. This is where everything starts.
-
Building a rock-solid response to their name so you can regain focus quickly and calmly when the world gets interesting.
-
Introducing the concept of moving together as a team not a dog on a leash and a person holding on for dear life.
-
The core skill, built on everything before it. No tension. No dragging. Just connected, relaxed movement.
-
Teaching your dog to match your pace and pause when you need them to at doorways, crosswalks, and everything in between.
-
Changing direction smoothly and confidently so you can navigate distractions without turning it into a struggle.
-
A clear, energetic cue to move forward together. The finishing touch on a walk that actually feels good for both of you.
-
A practical tool for redirecting your dog's attention in the real world without force, frustration, or repeating yourself.

You've tried things that haven't stuck. This approach isn't about correcting the pulling it builds the connection that makes pulling unnecessary.

✓ Confidence to take your dog to new places trails, patios, farmers markets
✓ Real communication between you and your dog, not a constant tug of war

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

It is never too late. Dogs are always learning, regardless of age or history. What matters is consistency and using an approach that actually makes sense to your dog. The framework in this course builds attention and connection from the ground up it's not about overriding old habits with force. Most people start seeing a real difference within the first few practice sessions.
-
Most tips and quick fixes address the pulling itself they try to stop it without teaching your dog what to do instead. This course works differently. It starts with attention and voluntary check-ins, so your dog chooses to stay connected with you rather than being managed or corrected. When you build it that way, the result is durable. It sticks because your dog actually understands what's being asked of them.
-
Yes. The framework in this course is built on how all dogs learn through positive reinforcement, clear communication, and building engagement. It works regardless of breed, energy level, or history. That said, if your dog has significant reactivity or fear-based behavior beyond general leash struggles, I may recommend pairing this course with private support. If you're unsure whether this is the right fit, reach out before purchasing and I'll be honest with you.
-
Short sessions work best for dogs five to ten minutes of focused practice is more effective than a long session where both of you lose steam. The practice exercises in this course are designed to fit into your regular walks and daily routine. You're not adding extra time to your day. You're training smarter within the time you're already spending with your dog.
-
Yes. Every lesson is demonstrated on video so you can see exactly what the skill looks like, what to watch for in your dog, and what success looks like before you try it yourself. The written guides give you clear reference points to come back to. I built this course specifically so that a dog parent working independently could follow it and get real results. That said, if you ever feel stuck or want eyes on your specific situation, I offer private sessions through Family Pupz as well.
-
This comes up a lot, and there's almost always a reason for it. Dogs who ignore food outside are often over threshold too stimulated or stressed to eat. The course covers this directly, starting in lower-distraction environments and building up gradually so your dog is actually in a state where they can learn. We also cover finding what motivates your specific dog, because food is not the only reward that works.
-
Yes, completely. Family Pupz is built on positive reinforcement and science-based training. That means no corrections, no prong collars, no e-collars, no intimidation. We teach your dog to want to work with you and that approach gets lasting results without any emotional fallout for your dog. I hold a CPDT-KA certification and am Fear Free certified, and everything in this course reflects that.
-
Lifetime access. One payment and the course is yours to revisit whenever you need it whether that's going back to a module that didn't quite click, working through it again with a new dog, or refreshing your skills after a break. Dogs change and life changes, and this course will be there when you need it.
-
You can always reach out to us at Family Pupz directly. If you find you need more personalized support, I also offer private training sessions virtual and in-person in the Denver area that can complement what you're working on in the course.

YouTube is free and there's genuinely good content out there. The difference is structure. Random tips and isolated videos don't build on each other, and most dog parents end up confused about what to try first, what order things go in, or why something isn't working. This course gives you a framework built deliberately, in the sequence that produces results. It's the same approach I use with paying private clients packaged so you can follow it on your own time, at your own pace, for a fraction of the cost of a single in-home session.
