INSIDE HARMONIOUS WALKS
A course that teaches you and your dog to walk harmoniously.
Everything in Harmonious Walks is built around three simple goals: building attention and connection, navigating the real world with confidence, and creating walks you genuinely enjoy together.
1. Build Attention and Connection
Teach your dog that paying attention to you is rewarding and worthwhile, even when the world is full of distractions.
2. Navigate the Real World
Learn how to confidently guide your dog through squirrels, dogs, joggers, and unexpected surprises without losing connection or focus.
3. Enjoy Life Together
Create calmer, more enjoyable walks that give you the freedom and confidence to explore, adventure, and experience more of life with your dog.
SOUND FAMILIAR?
Walks shouldn't feel like this.
Walks shouldn't feel this stressful.
You head out the door hoping for a nice walk, but instead you're constantly managing pulling, distractions, and unexpected surprises. By the time you get home, you're more exhausted than refreshed.
You never quite know what to do.
You've watched videos, tried different techniques, and followed plenty of advice. Some of it helps for a moment, but when a squirrel appears, another dog walks by, or your dog gets overstimulated, you're left wondering how to respond.
Every distraction feels bigger than it should.
The moment something interesting appears, your dog seems to forget you exist. Walks become a constant effort to regain attention instead of enjoying time together.
You're missing out on the experience you imagined.
What should be one of the best parts of having a dog has quietly become a source of stress. You love your dog. You just wish walks felt calmer, easier, and more enjoyable for both of you.

8+ Years Experience Helping Families with Dogs
Hi, I'm Tanya.
I've been working with dog families in Denver for over eight years. In that time, I've worked with hundreds of dogs and their people, and I can tell you that the challenges showing up on walks are almost always the same.
It's not because something is wrong with the dog.
Most dogs and their people are doing the best they can. What they're often missing is a clear path for building attention, connection, and the skills that make walks enjoyable for both ends of the leash.
When I adopted my own dog, Zippo, I experienced that frustration firsthand. Walks weren't enjoyable. The pulling, the distractions, the reactivity, and the feeling that we weren't quite on the same page made it harder to enjoy the time we spent together.
That experience became a big part of why I built this course.
Harmonious Walks is based on the same training blueprint I use with my private clients. Each skill builds on the last, creating real-world habits that help dogs and their people communicate more clearly and enjoy more of life together.
My goal is simple: that walks stop feeling like something you dread and start feeling like one of the best parts of life with your dog.
WHAT’S INSIDE HARMONIOUS WALKS
A training blueprint that actually builds on itself.
A step-by-step training system that transforms how your dog pays attention, responds to distractions, and walks with you in the real world.
-
Teaching your dog that choosing to pay attention to you is rewarding and worthwhile.
-
Teaching your dog that their name is the beginning of a conversation, creating an easy way to get their attention when the world gets interesting.
-
Teaching your dog that walking with attention on you is rewarding, creating the foundation for moving through the world together.
-
The core skill that brings everything together. By teaching your dog to maintain a relaxed J-shaped leash, you'll create calmer, more connected walks without tension, pulling, or frustration.
-
Teaching your dog to slowdown their pace and stay connected with you, preventing pulling before it starts instead of constantly reacting to it.
-
Changing direction smoothly and confidently so you can navigate distractions without turning it into a struggle.
-
A verbal cue that helps keep the walk moving, creating a healthy balance between exploring, sniffing, and walking together.
-
The go-to skill for redirection, helping your dog calm down, refocus, and stay engaged with you before pulling, tension, or overexcitement begin to build.
More than just training exercises.
Because success doesn't come from knowing the skills, it comes from knowing how to apply them.
That's why Harmonious Walks is designed to help you:
➜ Understand how dogs learn, so you can train with clarity and confidence
➜ Avoid common mistakes that create frustration and slow progress
➜ Set realistic expectations that keep both you and your dog successful
➜ Troubleshoot challenges when things don't go according to plan
➜ Build habits that hold up in the real world, not just during practice sessions

NEW ADOPTERS
You just brought a dog home.
Those first weeks set the tone for everything. Build the right habits from day one and walks become something to look forward to, not something to survive.
FRUSTRATED WALKERS
Your dog pulls no matter what you try.
Our training approach goes beyond fixing pulling. It teaches your dog that paying attention to you is rewarding, creating walks that feel calmer and more connected.
PUPPY PARENTS
You have a puppy who's excited about everything the world has to offer.
The earlier you build this foundation, the easier everything else becomes. Puppies are fast learners, give them the right things to learn.

Every squirrel derails the whole walk.
This course teaches your dog to stay connected with you even when the world is exciting. That shift changes everything about how walks feel.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Questions before you join?
-
Not at all. Dogs are always learning, regardless of age or history. What matters most is giving your dog clear guidance, rewarding the behaviors you want, and practicing with them consistently. This course builds attention and connection from the ground up, helping your dog learn what you want instead of simply trying to stop what you don't.
-
Most dog parents aren't struggling because they haven't found enough tips. They're struggling because they don't have a clear plan.
Harmonious Walks gives you a step-by-step blueprint that shows you what to teach, when to use it, and how each skill builds on the next. Instead of jumping between random techniques, you'll follow a clear progression that creates lasting change.
-
Yes. The skills in this course are based on how dogs learn, not on breed, age, or background. Whether you have a puppy, rescue, sporting breed, or senior dog, the principles remain the same.
If your dog has significant fear, anxiety, or reactivity beyond general leash struggles, you may benefit from pairing the course with private support.
-
For leash skills, consistency matters more than long training sessions. The good news is that you don't need to set aside a separate hour for training. Most of the practice happens during the walks you're already taking with your dog.
The course shows you what to work on and how to incorporate the skills into everyday walks, so you're building better habits every time you head outside.
-
Yes. Every lesson includes clear video demonstrations so you can see exactly what success looks like before you begin practicing. You'll also receive written guides and a step-by-step training plan to help you stay on track.
If you'd like additional support, private training options are available through Family Pupz.
-
This is common. Dogs who ignore food outdoors are often too distracted, excited, or stressed to learn effectively. The course teaches you how to start in environments where your dog can succeed and gradually build their skills from there. We also discuss finding rewards that are meaningful to your individual dog.
-
It depends.
Treats are one of the tools we use to reinforce behaviors we want to see more often. As your dog becomes more skilled, you'll typically use them less frequently and more strategically, but most people continue to use rewards throughout their dog's life.
The good news is that rewards become much more flexible over time. Food is just one option. Sniffing, exploring, toys, praise, and life rewards can all become part of the reinforcement picture as your dog's skills grow.
-
Yes, completely. Family Pupz is built on positive reinforcement and science-based training. That means no prong collars, e-collars, leash corrections, intimidation, or force. We teach dogs to want to work with us, creating lasting results without sacrificing trust or wellbeing.
-
Lifetime access. Once you enroll, the course is yours to revisit whenever you need a refresher, want to revisit a skill, or simply need a reminder of what to do next.
-
You're always welcome to reach out to Family Pupz. If you need more personalized guidance, virtual and in-person private training sessions are also available.

There is some excellent free content on YouTube. The difference is structure.
Most dog parents end up collecting tips without knowing what to work on first, how the pieces fit together, or what to do when progress stalls. Harmonious Walks gives you a clear roadmap that builds one skill at a time, using the same approach I use with private clients.
For less than the cost of a single private session, you'll have a complete blueprint for creating calmer, more connected walks with your dog.
