“Our 6-month-old Australian Labradoodle, Dylan, recently completed the 12 session in-home training program with Tanya at Family Pupz and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Tanya came to our home and worked with Dylan to help him learn the basics of proper behavior, both in our home and in the outside world. After each session she showed us what he had learned and taught us how to work with him. She observed us working together and coached us on ways to achieve the best results. She followed up each session with an email recapping areas to work on.
More importantly, the training went well beyond just teaching Dylan the basics of sit, down, stay, recall, etc. Before each session Tanya asked how Dylan was doing and if there were any areas that we would like to work on with him. She was always willing to adjust the training to accommodate his needs. The result is that he is more comfortable in our home, and we are more comfortable with his behavior.
We continue to use the techniques we learned as Dylan gets older. Thanks to Tanya and Family Pupz, we can enjoy walking around the neighborhood and parks with Dylan without constantly worrying about how he will react to people and other dogs.
