ENJOY LIFE WITH YOUR DOG—AT HOME, ON WALKS, AND EVERYWHERE IN BETWEEN
Your Tomorrow Starts Today
WHY IT’S IMPORTANT TO START EARLY—AND STAY CONSISTENT
Starting training early helps your puppy develop the confidence and skills they need to navigate new environments, people, and experiences with ease.
But as your dog grows, new challenges often appear. The teenage phase can bring more energy, independence, and behaviors that suddenly feel harder—like pulling on leash, jumping, or difficulty settling.
By building positive habits early and continuing to guide your dog through adolescence, you’re investing in a future filled with confidence, connection, and real-life success together.
How We Do Things Differently
Introducing Our “Lifestyle Training” Approach
At Family Pupz, we believe training is about more than obedience—it’s about creating a life where you and your dog can truly thrive together.
That’s why we don’t just see ourselves as trainers, we see ourselves as lifestyle creators.
Our goal is to help you create a life filled with confidence, connection, and ease, where the challenges of dog parenting feel manageable—and even enjoyable.
Instead of focusing on isolated skills like “sit” or “stay,” we take a holistic, real-life approach and ask:
What kind of life do you want to live with your dog?
From harmonious walks to relaxing at home or bringing your dog along to coffee shops and patios, we tailor your training to make that lifestyle a reality.
Whether you’re building strong foundations or navigating more complex challenges—like leash reactivity, fear-based behaviors, overexcitement, or difficulty regulating around distractions—we’ll meet you where you are and guide you every step of the way.
PUPPY TRAINING FOR YOUR UNIQUE LIFESTYLE
A Peaceful Home
A Peaceful Home means your puppy or teenage dog can thrive in a well-managed, supportive environment—while you feel confident guiding them every step of the way.
We’ll teach essential skills like potty training, crate training, settling, and coming when called, while helping you navigate common challenges like jumping, biting, inappropriate chewing, and behaviors related to fear, stress, or anxiety.
This is especially helpful for dogs who struggle with overexcitement, have difficulty settling, or need support building confidence and creating more balanced, positive routines at home.
Harmonious Walks
Harmonious Walks means your outings with your puppy or teenage dog feel easy and stress-free, no matter the distractions.
We’ll teach your dog leash manners, polite behavior around other dogs, people, and wildlife, and how to stay focused on you despite common neighborhood distractions like skateboards, bikes, scooters, traffic, and tempting (but inappropriate) scraps of food or trash.
As dogs grow into adolescence, these distractions can become even more challenging—so we’ll also help you guide your dog through this stage with clear, practical strategies that build focus and confidence in real-life environments. This is especially important for dogs who become easily distracted, overwhelmed or reactive on walks.
A Welcoming Host
A Welcoming Host means your puppy or teenage dog is an enjoyable presence during dinner parties and gatherings at home.
We’ll teach your dog how to settle in a designated spot, greet visitors politely, and build the impulse control needed to navigate food, guests, and exciting situations with ease—while helping you confidently guide them in these real-life moments.
This is particularly helpful for dogs who tend to become overexcited, have difficulty settling when guests are present, or feel unsure and need support building confidence around new people.
Relaxed Public Outings
Relaxed Public Outings mean you can confidently bring your puppy or teenage dog to coffee shops, breweries, restaurants, and local parks without worry.
We’ll teach your dog how to settle in public, navigate distractions, greet people politely, walk on a loose leash, and come when called—even in stimulating environments—including skills like “leave it” and “drop it” to safely manage food, trash, and unexpected distractions—while helping you confidently guide them through these real-life situations.
This is especially valuable for dogs who find busy environments overwhelming, become easily overstimulated, or need extra support building focus and confidence outside the home.
Nimble Urban Adventures
Nimble Urban Adventures mean moving through the city with your puppy or teenage dog with ease—whether you’re strolling through a bustling farmer’s market, riding the elevator in your apartment building, or navigating crowded sidewalks.
We’ll teach your dog leash manners, polite behavior in shared spaces, and how to stay focused on you despite common urban distractions—while helping you confidently guide them through these dynamic environments.
This is especially valuable for dogs who are sensitive to noise, movement, or fast-paced environments, as well as those who may struggle with reactivity or feel overwhelmed navigating tight, busy spaces—helping them build focus, confidence, and reliability in the real world.
Stress-Free Time Apart
Stress-Free Time Apart means you can confidently step away—whether for work or a night out—knowing your puppy or teenage dog is safe and comfortable at home.
We’ll teach your dog how to be alone through independent settling and gradual exposures to alone time—while helping you confidently guide them through this process.
This is especially important for dogs who struggle with being alone or need support addressing separation-related challenges, including separation anxiety.
Calm and Confident Vet Visits
Calm and Confident Vet Visits make checkups easier for both you and your puppy or teenage dog.
We’ll teach essential skills like handling desensitization, cooperative care, muzzle training for stress-free safety, and how to feel more comfortable in new environments—while helping you confidently support your dog through each step of the process.
This is especially important for dogs who feel fearful or stressed during handling or vet visits, helping them build confidence and have more positive, low-stress experiences over time.
OUR TRAINING PHILOSOPHY
At Family Pupz, we believe puppy training is so much more than teaching tricks or commands—it’s about empowering puppy parents to live the joyful, stress-free, and adventurous life they’ve always envisioned with their puppy.
Our training is rooted in a positive, force-free, and science-based approach, as the latest research in animal behavior consistently shows that puppies learn best—and that learning lasts longer—when they’re in a learning environment free from fear, stress, and pain.
This foundation is supported by our proactive approach to training, which helps puppy parents anticipate and prevent issues before they arise. By combining proactive strategies like redirection, management, and collaborative problem-solving, we provide you with a comprehensive toolkit to confidently navigate any and all situations that you may encounter with your puppy—even when we’re not there to assist.
At the heart of our approach is what we call, “lifestyle training”. It’s not just about curbing excessive barking or leash pulling, but why you want to manage those behaviors in the first place—to enjoy a romantic date night out without worry, host a peaceful dinner party with friends and your puppy, or to take your puppy on meaningful adventures without stress or anxiety.
That’s why we focus on offering you practical solutions to enable you to live the seamless, rewarding, and deeply enriching life with your puppy that you always imagined.
